How to read a memecoin chart (candles, volume, liquidity) on Elysium
Every coin page on ElyScreener has a live candlestick chart. If you're new to charts, here's what you're looking at and what to ignore.
Candles
Each candle is one slice of time (1 minute to 4 hours — pick with the buttons above the chart). The body runs from the price at the start of the slice to the price at the end; green means it ended higher, red lower. The thin wick shows the highest and lowest trade inside the slice.
Volume bars
The bars at the bottom are HYPE traded in that slice. A price move on tiny volume means nothing — one buy moved it. A move on rising volume means people are actually trading.
Timeframes
- 1m / 5m — launch hour, scalping, watching a bundle exit.
- 15m / 1h — the first day of a coin.
- 4h — anything older than a few days.
Zoom, pan, crosshair
Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, hover to read exact values on the right-hand price axis. On a phone, pinch and drag.
The numbers that beat the chart
- Liquidity — how much HYPE is in the pool. Divide your buy by it: that's roughly how much you'll move the price.
- Bot clusters — supply held by wallets that bought in the same block. Explained here.
- Top 10 — share of supply in the ten largest wallets (pool excluded).
A beautiful green chart with 45% in one bot cluster is a trap. An ugly sideways chart with 2% bots and growing holders is often where the next move starts.
