What is Elysium? Kinetiq's Hyperliquid L2 explained

ElyScreener · November 3, 2026

Elysium is a Layer-2 blockchain built by Kinetiq, the team behind the kHYPE liquid-staking token on Hyperliquid. It runs as its own chain that settles to HyperEVM, Hyperliquid's EVM-compatible layer, so anything that works on Ethereum-style chains (MetaMask, Solidity contracts, Uniswap-style pools) works on Elysium too.

Why does Elysium exist?

Hyperliquid is best known for its on-chain perpetuals exchange. HyperEVM opened the door to general smart contracts, but blockspace there is shared with everything else. Elysium gives builders a dedicated, cheap, fast environment that still inherits Hyperliquid's economy: gas is paid in HYPE, and value flows back to the HyperEVM base layer.

In practice this has made Elysium a magnet for memecoin launchpads. Within weeks of the testnet opening, more than a dozen launchpads announced or shipped on the chain, and thousands of coins were created. ElyScreener exists because nobody could see all of them in one place.

What runs on Elysium today?

How do I use it?

  1. Add the Elysium network to your wallet.
  2. Get HYPE onto Elysium for gas and trading.
  3. Open ElyScreener, pick a launchpad, pick a coin, and buy or sell without leaving the page.

Elysium's unofficial mainnet (chain 99901) has been live since late October 2026 through community RPC nodes; the official public launch with Kinetiq's own infrastructure is scheduled for November 9. Numbers on ElyScreener come from the live chain either way.
